How to Create a Strong Password
How to create a strong password is something everyone should know, because a weak password can be guessed easily or stolen by hackers. If they get into your account, they can steal your personal data, money, or even your identity. A strong password is your first line of defense.
Step 1: choosing a strong password
A strong password is:
✅ At least 12 characters long
✅ Includes upper and lowercase letters
✅ Includes numbers
✅ Includes symbols (like !, @, $, %)
✅ Not a real word or something obvious like “123456” or “password”
👉 Example:
Instead of Sarah1984
, try something like:$aRaH_1984!TiGEr
Or even better, a passphrase: Monkey!Plays.Piano#At7
💡 Tip: Combine random but meaningful words for you, and add symbols or numbers.
Step 2: How to Remember It Easily
Finding a strong password is great, but remembering it is even better!
Here are a few tricks:
Use a password manager to store and organize your passwords securely.
Use a sentence and take the first letter of each word.
“My dog Jack was born in 2012” → MdJwbi2012!
⚠️ Important! Use a different password for every website.
If you reuse the same password and it gets stolen, hackers could access all of your online accounts!
💡 Tip: Password managers can generate, store, and protect all your passwords.
Step 3: Monitor and secure your passwords
If you want to use a password manager, I can recommend the ones I personally use or trust. They’re very effective and come as part of a complete package that also includes antivirus protection and a VPN.
In the UK and most of Europe, I recommend Kaspersky Plus. It includes Kaspersky Password Manager, which helps you manage your passwords and alerts you if any of them have been leaked online.
However, Kaspersky is not available in the United States. For users in North America, I suggest Norton 360, which offers similar features — a reliable antivirus, a secure password manager, VPN, and even dark web monitoring.
Both are great all-in-one tools for protecting your data and staying secure online.

To sum up:
creating a strong password doesn’t have to be complicated. Just keep these key tips in mind:
– Make it long and complex
– Avoid obvious or easy-to-guess words
– Use a password manager if needed
– Consider using an antivirus that detects password leaks
You can use the strong passwords you’ve learned to create when setting up a new user account on your computer.
